We are delighted to offer in-house diagnostic laboratory services as a way of offering top-notch treatment to our patients as we consistently endeavor to provide the highest-quality medicine. While some crucial diagnostic tests may only be carried out by outside laboratories, other tests can be carried out internally.
Pet In-House Laboratory
Our state-of-the-art in-house laboratory from Idexx at Cityscape Vets on Excelsior enables us to detect issues and start treating your pet much more quickly than ever before. In less than 10 minutes, we can perform a complete blood count (CBC), which assesses the quantity and caliber of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. A CBC can assist identify your pet’s health in many ways, including whether your pet is dehydrated, anemic (has insufficient red blood cells), or suffering from an illness.
In our on-site laboratory, we can also quickly run blood tests for key organs such the kidneys, liver, thyroid, electrolytes, blood protein, blood sugar, and pancreatic function. By enhancing the testing choices available to all of our patients, our veterinary care team can better meet the needs of your pet by having immediate access to accurate in-house diagnostic test findings. These features enable speedy and effective pre-anesthetic blood test screening before to any kind of surgery.
