Our Veterinarian Team
Dr. Amanda Maijer, DVM
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Amanda Maijer is the owner and practicing partner of CityScape, specializing in surgery, anesthesiology, and advanced wound care.
Dr. Maijer attended undergrad at Drake University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science. After, she attended Roehampton University in London, where she earned a Master of Science in evolutionary anthropology, and a Master of Research in behavioral physiology. She then took a break from school to work at the Harnas wildlife rehabilitation center in Namibia, Africa. Finally, she attended veterinary school at Ross University, finishing her clinical year at Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She is excited to work for and give back to the lakes community.
Dr. Clare Chamberlain
Veterinarian (Part-Time)
Dr. Clare Chamberlain is a Twin Cities-based Associate Veterinarian dedicated to advanced animal wellness and client education. A dual alumnus of the University of Minnesota, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Dr. Chamberlain specializes in feline medicine, clinical pathology, and compassionate end-of-life care, combining deep clinical expertise with a psychology-backed approach to client communication.
When she isn’t in the clinic or socializing around Minneapolis-St. Paul, she can be found rock climbing, scuba diving, or managing her backyard chicken flock and four orange cats.

Alyssa
Alyssa is a LVT that has been in the veterinary field since 2021. When she is not at work she enjoys fishing, playing bingo, and reading. She has two mischievous cats at home named Chomper and Thumper.

Ashley
Ashley has been working with pets since 2015 and has been part of the veterinary medicine field since 2020. She studied at the University of Minnesota and has always had a passion for helping animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
Outside of work, Ashley is a proud pet mom to her beloved dog, four cats, and her Russian tortoise. Her love for animals extends well beyond the clinic, and she considers her pets a huge part of her life.
Jessica
Veterinary Technician
Jess graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Companion Animal Science in 2016, and is currently back in school to further her knowledge and earn her certification. Before working as a veterinary technician, Jess interned at the Como Zoo and previously worked for Purina. She enjoys being outside, drawing, attending concerts and music festivals, going to the gym, and spending time with her friends. She embraces the cat-mom lifestyle in Uptown with her feline children Bentley and Penelope. When she isn’t forcing them to take family photos, you may encounter her taking them on walks in a cat stroller. She also has scaly friends, Stella (leopard gecko) and Dexter (crested gecko). You may have seen Jess at her second job in the cities, Unleashed Hounds & Hops, too.
Baileigh
Baileigh has been working with animals for 10 years. Over that time she’s had the pleasure of caring for multiple pocket pets and reptiles, as well as the more typical cat and dog friends. (You might even recognize her from the doggy daycare next door!) Baileigh and her own puppy son relocated to Minnesota about 4 years ago, and have been loving it here ever since! In her free time when she’s not here to shower all your pets with love and attention, she enjoys taking her pup to the dog park, reading, and playing several tcg’s and ttrpg’s with her partner and friends.

Natalie
I have been in field for 4 1/2 years. Working with animal says always been a passion of mine and have always been taking care of animals, whether it was neighbors dogs and cats when they went on vacation, my own or even the wildlife in the front yard. I have an Associate’s in Fine Arts Degree, but moved out to New York, to earn a Zoo Technology Degree. While in New York I interned at a farm and at the local zoo: I have experience with animals of all kinds.
My favorite thing about working in the veterinary field is, not inly helping animals, but also helping the owners give the best quality of care to their beloved pets.
When I’m not at the clinic, I am either out with friends, doing yoga, or in a musical production of my own.
I look forward to meeting and growing a relationship with all the clients and their pets who visit CityScape!

Devonte
Veterinary Customer Service Representative
Devonte has been working as a Veterinary Customer Service Representative for two years. Devonte enjoys interacting with every patient that walks through the door. Devonte is a self proclaimed feline lover. Outside of work Devonte enjoys cooking, drawing, photography and karate.
Keeley
Keeley has been working with animals since 2022. She started at a local doggy daycare and quickly moved over to vet med. Keeley holds a special place in her heart for geriatric pets and has a passion for working with pets who have behavioral difficulties. Outside of work, Keeley enjoys spending time with her four dogs; Odin (6), Phineas (6), Poppy (5), and Sally (15), reading horror and mystery books, cooking Italian cuisine, and playing the bass guitar.
