Keeley
Veterinary Technician

I’ve been a tech for 3 1/2 years. It’s been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever dedicated my life to. I was inspired by my first two dogs, Odin and Phineas, to do more to help, and in doing that, my girls, Poppy and Sally, found me. Being able to care for the animals in my home and making an impact in the lives of the dogs around me makes coming home covered in saliva, poop, urine, and scratches worth it.

I like to stay active through hiking and weight lifting, and I recently started Muay Thai and self-defense training.

I love to cook — Italian and Asian cuisine are my favorites to make. I’m also getting into making my own bread and trying to get a sourdough starter going. Keep me in your thoughts — I’m scared of the yeasty, stinky mother thing, but dammit, I love fresh bread.

I read a lot outside with the dogs. I have a goal to read 75 books this year, and so far I’ve read 40.

I also play bass guitar with my husband from time to time in our basement — just our little house band we call Sonic Caffiene. I don’t play above ground.
