Our Veterinarian Team
Dr. Mitchell Fry, DVM
Medical Director
Dr. Mitchell Fry has lived in the Midwest his whole life, spending time around Kansas City, Western and Central Wisconsin, Chicago, and now the Twin Cities. Dr. Fry has been in the veterinary field since high school, cleaning kennels and working all the way up as an assistant and receptionist and now as a veterinarian. Dr. Fry attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical year at the UMN- College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Fry has extensive experience treating and performing surgery on cats, dogs, and exotic animals (small mammals, avians, and reptiles).
He is married, has two young kids, and has a very energetic Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd mix named Blue. Most of their free time is occupied keeping their little ones happy and content, which means lots of visits to the park, swimming lessons, soccer practices, and going up to our family cabin in Northern Wisconsin.
Dr. Fry is excited to join the Cityscape Vets team and happy to provide the best veterinary care to match your pet’s needs.
Dr. Kelly Ryan, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Ryan made the decision to become a veterinarian at the age of three and never looked back. She attended University of Minnesota- Twin Cities for both her undergraduate and vet school and has now been practicing veterinary medicine for 19 years.
Her area of expertise is in general practice medicine with a focus on patient/client comfort and collaboration.
Dr. Ryan grew up in Austin, MN and moved to the Twin Cities for college. She now resides in Hopkins with her family. They have one dog (Trixie, a border collie-beagle mix) and two cats (Natasha and Paige). Her two cats are a mother and daughter duo that were only supposed to be fostered. But how could you resist keeping them?!
Dr. Miette Toyota, DVM
Veterinarian
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Toyota grew up riding horses and spending much of her time at the barn, developing her love for animals early on. She began her veterinary studies at St. Matthew’s University in the Cayman Islands and completed her clinical training at the University of Minnesota. After a rewarding final year and discovering how much Minnesota reminded her of home, she decided to stay and start her career here. Dr. Toyota is excited to build relationships with clients and their pets, and bring a compassionate and collaborative approach to every appointment.
Outside of work, Dr. Toyota enjoys exploring the city with her husband and her goldendoodle, Kobe; trying out new restaurants and finding frozen ponds for ice skating (her favourite part about Minnesota Winters!)

Ashley
Veterinary Assistant
Ashley has been working with animals since the age of 13, and finally rescued a puppy son of her own 3 years ago. Ashley is from northern Minnesota, and is so far loving the city life. In her free time Ashley enjoys hiking, conducting dog training classes and spending time with friends!
Jessica
Veterinary Technician
Jess graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Companion Animal Science in 2016, and is currently back in school to further her knowledge and earn her certification. Before working as a veterinary technician, Jess interned at the Como Zoo and previously worked for Purina. She enjoys being outside, drawing, attending concerts and music festivals, going to the gym, and spending time with her friends. She embraces the cat-mom lifestyle in Uptown with her feline children Bentley and Penelope. When she isn’t forcing them to take family photos, you may encounter her taking them on walks in a cat stroller. She also has scaly friends, Stella (leopard gecko) and Dexter (crested gecko). You may have seen Jess at her second job in the cities, Unleashed Hounds & Hops, too.
Devonte
Veterinary Customer Service Representative
Devonte has been working as a Veterinary Customer Service Representative for two years. Devonte enjoys interacting with every patient that walks through the door. Devonte is a self proclaimed feline lover. Outside of work Devonte enjoys cooking, drawing, photography and karate.
